Special characteristics of the wine:

Elaboration of Artuke Tinto

It is made according to the traditional method of carbonic maceration, typical and historical of La Rioja. It consists of fermenting the whole grape, with the stem (vegetable part of the bunch) included. In this way, intracellular fermentations take place within each grape grain, which allow obtaining intensely fruity musts with low tannins.

What kind of wine is Artuke Tinto

Young wine without aging.

The Artuke winery

Artuke is part of the group of Rioja’n’Roll producers, committed to the terroir and to the production of terroir wines with identity. Connoisseurs of the heritage that they manage - when they joined the project they made a meticulous study of the soils of their plots in Baños de Ebro, Ábalos and San Vicente de la Sonsierra and later in Paso Las Mañas, in Samaniego - they work to conserve it, not to transform it. It is one of the reasons why they insist on cultivating their 25 hectares of vineyard in glass, as was done before, even the newly planted one.

Designation of Origin of Artuke Tinto

It belongs to the DO Rioja, a denomination that dates from the end of the 19th century, but which was not officially formed until 1925.
The area that hosts this appellation of origin includes the autonomous communities of Rioja and the Basque Country.
The grapes produced in this denomination are: Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo, Graciano and Maturana Tinta.
The wines of this denomination are characterized by being fresh, aromatic wines, with an excellent vessel and above all they are very balanced wines.
Rioja wines are easy to drink wines.
