The wine-growing tradition Valdeorras back to Roman times. Under a Mediterranean-oceanic microclimate, the Romans planted vineyards and built wineries. Soils are varied, from the slate, shallow, through the granite, rich in sand, until they settle on sediments and terraces where boulders abound. This diversity of terrain is mainly appreciate two varietal wines. The most emblematic of Godello white, fine aroma is fruity, yellow, gold or straw, and good structure on the palate, with an average alcohol content of 12.5 º.
