The company grew very quickly and the first problems of space were raised, beginning its expansion throughout the region.

History of the Protos winery

The construction of an aging cellar begins in the heart of the mountain that sustains the Peñafiel castle.

Such is its mark of quality and prestige that in the 80s a wine strip of recognized consideration adopts its name, Ribera de Duero, to identify the Regulatory Council of Denomination of Origin that will ensure the quality of the wines of the area. In 1995, the aging cellar was expanded and consolidated in the international wine scene.

The project has continued to grow with the acquisition in Anguix (Burgos) of a winery with a capacity to produce up to three million kilos of grapes, of which 1.5 million pass through the selection table.
