Almansa is a protected designation of origin whose production area is located in the southeastern part of the province of Albacete, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. It is made up of 8 municipalities with the municipality of Almansa as the center of the denomination.
Viticulture in the surroundings of Almansa has developed without interruptions since the 16th century. This wine region, located at an altitude of around 700 m, is the easternmost of Castilla-La Mancha
