Special features of the wine:
Elaboration of Montecillo Reserva
Each varietal is harvested and processed separately. Encubado to low temperature to realize pre-fermentative maceration, bleeding of the deposit before beginning the alcoholic fermentation and once finalized, postfermentative maceration, completing therefore two weeks of contact with the skins. Controlled malolactic in underground cement deposit.
What kind of wine is Montecillo Reserva
A wine aged in French and American oak barrels (70% - 30%) for 25 months, with rigorous racking to keep the wine in perfect condition. Once bottled, it remains in the bottle at least 20 months to achieve greater complexity.
The Orborne winery
The history of Osborne dates back to the late eighteenth century, when a young English merchant, named Thomas Osborne Mann, came to Cadiz land to market the wines of the area. He soon starts doing business in Puerto de Santa María and it is in this town where he founded his own winery that, more than 200 years later, he would become the great business group that is today, of fame and international recognition.
