The Herederos del Marqués de Riscal winery
The Marques de Riscal Winery was born in 1858.
In 2011, the 1883 winery, one of our oldest wineries, was transformed into a space equipped with the latest technology. The intention is to combine the charm of this 19th century space with the most modern machinery.
We seek to make original, fresh, elegant and easy to drink wines. Since our foundation, we have had a clear exporting vocation. Today we are present in more than 110 countries to which we export 65% of our production.
Denomination of Origin of Marqués de Riscal Arienzo
Located in the DO Rioja, a name that dates back to the end of the 19th century, but was not officially formed until 1925.
The area that houses this designation of origin encompasses the autonomous communities of Rioja and the Basque Country.
The grapes produced in this denomination are: Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Mazuelo, Graciano and Maturana Tinta
The wines of this appellation are characterized by being fresh, aromatic wines with an excellent vessel and above all they are very balanced wines.
Rioja wines are easy to drink wines.

Varieties: 96% Tempranillo and 4% Graciano
Vineyards located in the best calcareous clay soils of the Rioja Alavesa.
The Tempranillo variety supports aging in wood and bottle aging well thanks to its good acid balance and its fine tannicity. The Graciano variety provides freshness and liveliness of color.
