It opens quickly, giving way to hints of coffee and toffee as well as spicy hints of red pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, the entry is direct and its passage is fast, warm and glyceric, subtly sweet attack, medium acidity and light and unctuous tannins of medium body. Bitter and toasted finish, with a lot of warmth and a long retronasal where the roasted notes remain.

Special characteristics of the wine:

Production of the Lagar D’amprius Nazarín wine

The grape harvest is always carried out at night, seeking to collect the grapes at the lowest possible temperature. To avoid excessive oxidation and in order to cool the grapes, dry ice is used during the journey from the tractors to the winery. Once in the winery, cold skin maceration takes place for 4 days at a temperature below 10ºC, thus seeking a better aromatic and colouring extraction and above all for it to last longer over time.
Spontaneous fermentation, without added commercial yeasts, at a temperature of between 24-26ºC, for 8 days. The wine then macerates with the skins for 12 days, during which there is an increase in tannins and structure of the wine. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where it remains on its lees for at least 12 months, with the aim of achieving greater volume in the mouth.

What type of wine is Lagar D’amprius Nazarín

Red wine from fine Grenache with medium acidity and light tannins.

The winery Lagar D’amprius

It was born from the will of a group of people passionate about viticulture, oenology and the development of the wine potential of the lands of Teruel. With the clear objective of accompanying a reference brand, Lagar d’Amprius, with unique, surprising and representative wines from the Matarraña region (Matarranya), in the Bajo Aragón Turolense.

Designation of origin of Lagar D’amprius Nazarín

The V.T. region of Bajo Aragón, is one of the regions with the most tradition in winemaking in Spain.
It has ideal geographical and climatic conditions for the vine and is one of the largest. It brings together regions of Teruel such as Bajo Aragón, Maestrazgo and Matarraña, as well as the surroundings of the Zaragoza municipalities of Caspe, Mequinenza, Fabara and Maella, among others. It has a varietal catalogue that includes grapes such as Macabeo, Garnacha tinta and blanca, Mazuela, Tempranillo, Cabernet and Syrah. Recent years have seen a considerable rise in its wines.

The vines are especially cared for to obtain a fruit of excellent quality. The extreme production limitation of 1.5 kg/vine, ensures that all the incipient potential of the vines is transmitted to such limited production. All vineyards are owned by the winery.
