The San Alejandro winery
Bodegas San Alejandro was founded in 1962 in Miedes de Aragón (Zaragoza), in a privileged enclave for the cultivation of the vine, due to the altitude of its vineyards, the rigor of the climate, the slow maturation of its grapes, the diversity of its soils and a long list of singularities that make up his terroir.
Bodegas San Alejandro is also a reference in wine tourism in the area, with a wide range of activities to publicize the wine culture, its history and its tasting.

The D.O.P. Calatayud is located in the westernmost part of the province of Zaragoza, 87 kilometers from Zaragoza and only 1 hour from Madrid by AVE.
The geographical area of ??the D.O.P. Calatayud is constituted by the following municipal terms:
The D.O.P. Calatayud is located within the Community Region of Calatayud belonging to the province of Zaragoza and bordering the provinces of Soria, Guadalajara and Teruel.
From the geomorphological point of view, the Calatayud basin is a miniature reproduction of the Ebro basin with three distinct units: the outer mountains, the interior of the pit and the foothills.
It is an area of ??complicated orography, located in the foothills of the Moncayo and characterized by a complex hydrographic network formed by various tributaries of the Ebro river, such as Jalón, Jiloca and other minors. The vineyards descend on the slopes of the mountains, with altitudes ranging between 550 and 1,040 meters.
The terrain is undulating, settling most of the vineyard on stony, loose soils, very poor in nutrients and a high proportion of limestone. They have good permeability and are healthy.
