Special characteristics of the wine:

Elaboration of Artuke Pies Negros

The grapes harvested by hand are destemmed and crushed so that the must can later ferment. A small percentage of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and the subsequent aging is combined in woods of different ages to preserve the most primary tones of the grape.

What kind of wine is Artuke Pies Negros

Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.

The Artuke winery

Artuke is part of the group of Rioja’n’Roll producers, committed to the terroir and to the production of terroir wines with identity. Connoisseurs of the heritage that they manage - when they joined the project they made a meticulous study of the soils of their plots in Baños de Ebro, Ábalos and San Vicente de la Sonsierra and later in Paso Las Mañas, in Samaniego - they work to conserve it, not to transform it. It is one of the reasons why they insist on cultivating their 25 hectares of vineyard in glass, as was done before, even the newly planted one.
