Tresbolillo wines from various regions
Wines from the winery Vinos a Tresbolillo
They make friendly and fun wines that bring out the more accessible side of each region. In the case of their Ribera wine, with Trompo, they recall the spinning top. The grapes come from vineyards about 35 years old in the Gumiel de Mercado area, Burgos. The wine ferments in stainless steel tanks and remains for 7 months in used French oak barrels. An easy Ribera that is drunk neat and away from regional clichés.
In El Bierzo they make slingshots. This wine comes from old vineyards in Bierzo on slate soils. It is fermented and aged in a 10,000-litre wooden vat for 8 months. The wine combines the concentration of the old vineyards but with an elaboration that seeks the freshest side of Mencía. The result is a friendly mencía with a point of complexity at a truly competitive price.
Finally Canicas is the white of Rias Baixas. The marbled grapes come from various vineyards and are vinified in stainless steel tanks where they remain for 8 months in contact with their lees. Canicas is an Albariño that seeks a balance between moderate acidity (without losing tooth enamel) and a good volume of fruit.
