The Malaga Wine Production area is made up of 67 municipalities located in five geographical areas of production that are Axarquía, Montes de Málaga, Norte, Manilva and Serranía de Ronda. Each of these areas is characterized by a different terrain, climate and soils.
The wines of the Denomination of Origin Malaga are made mainly with the white varieties Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel.
Depending on when the alcohol is added to the must and whether it comes from fresh or overripe grapes, different types of sweet wines are obtained.
Certain wines can receive complementary names depending on their elaboration and organoleptic characteristics: The dry ones can receive the name of Dry Pale or Pale Dry
The sweets can be named with the aforementioned Naturally Sweet, Natural Sweet, Tender and Master, or with the terms Sweet Cream or Cream, Pale Cream and Sweet.
