Valdejalón is a protected geographical indication, used to designate the wines of the land originating in the Spanish wine-growing zone of Valdejalón, which includes the following municipalities of the province of Zaragoza: Aranda de Moncayo, Arándiga, Bárboles, Bardallur, Brea, Calatorao, Calcena , Cuarte de Huerva, Chodes, Epila, Figueruelas, Gotor, Grisen, Illueca, Jarque de Moncayo, La Almunia de Doña Godina, Lucena de Jalón, Lumpiaque, Mesones de Isuela, Morata de Jalón, Morés, Nigüella, Oseja, Pedrola, Plasencia Of Jalón, Pleitas, Purroy, Ricla, Wheel of Jalón, Salillas de Jalón, Saviñán, Santa Cruz de Grío, Sestrica, Tierga, Trasobares, Urrea de Jalón and Saragossa.
This geographical indication was regulated in 1998 and admits categories of white wines with a minimum natural alcoholic strength of 11º, rosés with 12º and reds with 12.5º, as well as liquor wine with a minimum of 15º.
