Special characteristics of the wine:
Elaboration of Triga
Use of native yeasts. Only the oldest vineyards are used for the production of Triga. The vines are carefully monitored in all their phases and processes, pruning, flowering, fruiting, veraison, maturation and harvest and only the best plots are selected. These vineyards have very low yields, around 1to / Ha. Each plot is harvested, processed and aged separately. The best bunches are selected in the vineyard and later in the winery at the selection table. After maceration in 5,000 kg tanks, it goes to a vertical press.
What kind of wine is Triga
Wine aged for 20 months in French barrels.
The winery Volver
Bodegas Volver produces in other wine-growing areas of Spain such as Alicante, La Mancha, Jumilla and Valencia.
The differential seal of Bodegas Volver is a modern cut where native varieties are mainly worked such as: Monastrell, Tempranillo, Merseguera, Macabeo, Moscatel, etc.
Denomination of Origin of Triga
The origin of Alicante wine is within the legends and fables, which surround the historical roots of the wines of all regions.
In our province, it was the Iberians who began to cultivate the vine for family use, although it previously existed in the wild. Possibly it was the Phoenicians who introduced the vine to us in the first half of the first millennium before Jesus Christ. The Romans were great growers of this fruit.
Grape variety used in Triga
Variety: Monastrell and Cabernet Sauvignon
The grapes come from 5 vineyards, one of them planted in 1925. Four Monastrell vineyards located in the Sierra de Salinas, Umbría and La Sima.
