The "Venta d'Aubert" is located on the historical route that connects Tortosa, in the Mediterranean with Alcañiz and continues towards Zaragoza. The “Venta d’Aubert was probably the“ Venta ”of the Aubert.
In 1986 "Venta d’Aubert" was found again and was brought back to life thanks to a Swiss couple. The farms were largely uncultivated at the time, there were plots with almond and olive trees, grassland, and an old vineyard with white Grenache-style Gobelet grapes. In 1986 new vineyards were planted with different grapes to make red and white wine.
In 1995 a new winery was built with all the technical facilities for fully autonomous production and in 2001 it was expanded to meet new needs.
The V.T. del Bajo Aragón, is one of the regions with the longest tradition in winemaking in Spain.
It has ideal geographical and climatic conditions for the vine and is one of the largest. It brings together Teruel regions such as Bajo Aragón, Maestrazgo and Matarraña, as well as the surroundings of the Zaragoza municipalities of Caspe, Mequinenza, Fabara and Maella, among others. It has a varietal catalog that includes grapes such as Macabeo, Garnacha red and white, Mazuela, Tempranillo, Cabernet and Syrah. The last years have meant a considerable takeoff for its wines.
Varieties: 100% Viognier
Viognier planted in 1987 and 2000
The "Venta d’Aubert" farm occupies 62 ha, of which 18 ha are planted a For the production of our wines we only use the grapes from our farm that are harvested by hand. Our goal is to cover all stages of the product: from the vineyard, through the barrel to finally fill the bottle with vines today.
