The history of Osborne dates back to the end of the 18th century, when a young English merchant named Thomas Osborne Mann arrived in Cadiz to market the wines of the area. He soon began doing business in Puerto de Santa María and it was in this town that he founded his own winery which, more than 200 years later, would become the great business group it is today, of international fame and recognition.
It belongs to the DO Rioja, a denomination that dates back to the end of the 19th century, but which was not officially formed until 1925.
The area that hosts this denomination of origin covers the autonomous communities of Rioja and the Basque Country.
