White wine made from frizzante verdejo grapes.
Located in Rueda, our winery was born and began its elaborations in 1976, with a history parallel to that of the Denomination of Origin. The first years meant the establishment of the brand in Castilla y León, to then begin a rapid expansion at a national and international level.
Palacio de Bornos was the first to make sparkling wine in Castilla y León, since our first production dates back to 1978. The objective has been to take advantage of the qualities of the Verdejo variety, starting from a monovarietal base wine that provides personality and differentiating character. applying the traditional method of production, which allows obtaining a very high quality sparkling wine.
The Rueda designation of origin is located in the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila.
The grapes, Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, Viura and Palomino Fino are produced there.
It has 11,700 hectares of vineyards and 55 wine-producing wineries.
Its white wines are world famous, although red and rosé wines are also produced.

The land of our vineyards is characterized by having a calcareous clayey subsoil and gravelly soil, with a high concentration of pebbles, which allows good aeration and drainage, ideal characteristics for the good development of the vine.
