Tempranillo, Tinta Cencibel country or is a red grape variety widely cultivated to produce red wines with body1 in Spain, from where it originates.
Where is the Tinta del Pais wine made?
It occupies an area of ??31,046 hectares of crop, representing 61% of the DO Rioja, with a progressive increase in recent years at the expense of other varieties. It is considered native to Rioja. It is the main grape used in Rioja, and Ribera del Duero
Tempranillo is a black grape with a thick skin.
Tempranillo wines can be consumed young, but the most expensive are aged for several years in oak barrels. The wines are ruby ??red color, with aromas of berries, plum, snuff, vanilla, leather and herb.
The tempranillo grape juice produces a balanced sugar, color and acidity although the latter sometimes is scarce. It has an open, interesting young velvety when aged wine palate. Preferred variety is considered and some years is the variety most extensively in the Rioja Denomination.
