In 1970 El Coto de Rioja carried out the first harvest of its history in the D.O.Ca. Rioja
In 1976 Inauguration of its facilities in the town of Oyón (Álava).
Every process in winemaking is carried out with the utmost care. For this reason, El Coto de Rioja is organized as if it were twelve small wineries. Each one with the optimal conditions for its work, where each part of the process is faced independently.
Winemaking is carried out in small tanks that do not exceed 50,000 liters and all our red wines are aged in oak barrels, which are renewed annually. Only in this way is it possible to get the work in the vineyard to bear the fruit we really want.
